Just another day in the surgical room

Chelsi looked over to Alyssion who was now laid down on the surgical room knocked unconcious. She peered at the clock on the wall. She had exactly one hour before the spell would lapse and Alyssion would be brought back to conciousness. She knew she would be cutting it close, so she got to work right away.

She wheeled her chair back over to the console where she commanded her AI, Ashlainn. She clicked through a few black screens, typing in codes, when eventually one of the white tiles in the room would begin to shift. Alyssion would likely be TERRIFIED if she saw the process, as a giant armed needle came from the ceiling and began to hover above the sorcerress’s head.

“Alright, easy now.” Chelsi seemed to have taken manual control, lowering the machine to be right above where her empty eye socket was. She paused for a moment and moved over to Alyssion. “Alright, first things first, let’s make sure this is aimed correctly. She grabbed a hold of the arm, bringing it in line with Alyssion’s socket, then she’d tug it slowly, so the needle would be in the exact center of the void in Alyssion’s skull.

She went back to her console and pushed a button, a gust of wind would push out of the needle, pushing any debris or dust that would of collected inside of Alyssion’s socket out with great force. “Light, let this go over smoothly,” she put her head down and clicked the big red button.

The machine began to hum to life, and a liquid began to slowly ooze from the end of the needle. It looked like a silver goo, and it moved on its own, spreading slowly to engulf all of Alyssion’s socket. It didn’t take long for this “goo” to solidify, taking on the shape of the eye Alyssion would of seen moments before.

The process took a while, about thirty minutes had passed before the AI voice of Ashlainn came through. “Eye pouring complete. Nanobot’s successfully deposited. Scanning lifeform for any problems.”

“Okay, let’s see..” Chelsi analyzed the screen.

“Critical Failure Detected.” Ashlainn flashed red.

“Wh-what.” Chelsi looked. She stammered, she didn’t like to hear that and she grew worried. “No, no, nothing go wrong.”

She looked back to see… Varna was standing on Alyssion. She meowed.

“Abnormalities detected in life scan, cleanse anomaly?” Ashlainn stated.

“NOPE. NOPE DONT DO THAT. DON’T BE DOING THAT.” Chelsi scooched over and immidently picked up Varna who was mewing with delight to see Chelsi. “Rescan please!”

“Scanning…. No failures detected.” Ashlainn stated.

“Thank the light. Are you okay Varna? Your mom is okay, she should be awake soon.” Chelsi came back to the computer and put Varna down. She immidently found the open space unsatisfying and would take up residence on the keyboard. Chelsi laughed. “Okay, just be careful baby.”

Around this time, Gadget would join the trio in the room and take residence down at Chelsi’s foot.

“Okay, Ashlainn, is the eye calibrated and ready for user testing?”

“Scanning… Eye function is at 100%. Ready for user calibration.”

“Alright. Great job.” She pulled a lever on the console and the machine ascended back into the ceiling.

An hour has passed. Alyssion would start to wake up.
